A little History
Back in 2014, a dynamic team led by Gemworld International set out on a mission to redefine how we perceive and communicate gemstone colors based on the Munsell color system. With visionaries like Richard Drucker, Stuart Robertson, Çiğdem Lüle, and Tom Tashey of Professional Gem Sciences Laboratory, who brought his initial concept for WOC to Gemworld for further development, at the helm, the project evolved into something truly remarkable—a portable color communication system that revolutionized the gem industry.
But first, what is a Munsell?
Albert Henry Munsell (1858–1918) was an American painter, teacher, and inventor who revolutionized color theory and its practical application.
